Aphex Twin is well and truly back!
Fresh from announcing his new album Syro a fortnight ago (his first new collection since 2001’s Drukqs), the British electronic producer has dropped the first cut from the new collection, Minipops 67.
Premiered moments ago on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show (and deservedly brushed with Lowe’s ‘Hottest Record’ moniker), Minipops 67 sounds pure Aphex Twin; a mix of warped vocal manipulations over some crazy fu***d-up synth loops.
This is genius… ridiculously good to have Aphex Twin return after some 13-years in hiatus!
