A new Destiny’s Child album, alongside a tour, could be in the works if rumours are to be believed.
According to Digital Spy, Beyonce’s father Matthew Knowles teased a reunion on Houston radio station KRBE, saying “When you see Destiny’s Child on TV and you see them doing songs together, slowly, slowly… there might be a new Destiny’s Child album coming”, before continuing “There might be this tour that makes history: Destiny’s Child featuring Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle.”
Whilst Beyonce and her father parted ways several years back, Knowles still manages the name (and contents) of the band, though as soloists, both Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland also have separate management. Whilst the trio reunited earlier this year on Michelle Williams’ Say Yes, it’s always been considered that Beyonce’s solo success would have ended any further new material from one of the most successful girl groups of all time.
Last year, Destiny’s Child also made a brief reappearance with each other during Beyonce’s stellar set at the US Superbowl.
