New music: Lauryn Hill dedicates ‘Black Rage’ to peace during Ferguson crisis

Lauryn Hill has unveiled Black Rage on her Soundcloud, dedicated to the ongoing crisis in Ferguson, Missouri.

The new-ish track (new to us all, though an old recording from Hill), was unveiled earlier today, and continues Hill’s continual plight efforts, commentating on social issues. Black Rage also features an interesting sample use of The Sound of Music’s My Favourite Things; probably the grittiest we’ve ever heard in fairness.

Stream below, and check the full lyrics after the jump; Black Rage is a free download too. Hill is set to hit Brixton next month for her ‘Ms Lauryn Hill’ tour, on 20/21st September. Tickets are available now direct from Ticketmaster UK. Click here for more information
