Heading to V Festival this weekend? Laura Whitmore runs down the best ways to stay stylish

Unless you’ve been living under a rock the past few months, you’d be hard-pressed to ignore the fact that the annual V Festival is ready to shake things up across its two sites this weekend.

Now in its eighteenth year, V Festival will once again grace its homeland of Chelmsford’s Hyland Park alongside Staffordshire’s Weston Park for what promises to host V’s biggest line-up to-date.

With headliners and performances from the likes of Justin Timberlake, Bastille, Chic ft Nile Rodgers, Ed Sheeran, Chase and Status and more, the weekend is already shaping up to be one of the biggest in the summer musical calendar, and once again Virgin Media are promising select lucky attendees a weekend to remember, bringing back thei Virgin Media Louder Lounge VIP area and Virgin Media Our House stage during the festivities.

But, no festival is complete without its fashion style, and as such, V Festival have collaborated with TV host Laura Whitmore to share her top festival fashion tips to ticketholders. Definitely one for the girls! Check them out below, and if you’re still pining for tickets, there’s still some left, so head over to Ticketmaster UK (here) to grab them quickly!

Laura Whitmore’s Festival Fashion Tips:

In conjunction with Virgin Media Louder Lounge at V Festival this weekend

  • Have fun with fashion, it’s a festival.. So embrace it! I love accessorising! Head pieces are cute (not necessarily full head dresses but hair bands, cats ears etc)
  • Carry a sweet smelling body spray to spray into a portaloo before use! Holding your breath while trying to pee in the dark is not an easy task.
  • Boots are ALWAYS the way to go… Unless you’re in sunny climates and guaranteed hot weather. No one wants to see muddy toes.
  • DONT over pack… A crate full of warm beer is not easy to carry nor nice to drink. Go on treat yourself to a cold beer when you get there!
  • I love a bumbag or, as our American counterparts call it… A fanny pack. Fashionable and yet practicable!
  • Baby wipes! A staple for an any festival goer!
  • Dry hair shampoo… Much easier than attempting to wash your hair in a communal shower
