Whilst Emeli Sande’s new album has been heavily rumoured, there’s been no official word on when we’ll be likely to hear the first fruits of the upcoming record.
Whilst there’s still some way to go (and details are sketchy to say the least), Naughty Boy has confirmed he’s been working with Sande on the forthcoming release.
Speaking earlier this evening on Radio 1’s Review Show, the acclaimed Watford-based producer teased that he’s been working with Emeli on the follow-up to her global smash debut Our Version of Events, stressing that the final product would be looking to be mixed in the autumn. “We’re starting [to finish] Emeli’s next album” Naughty Boy told show-host Dev, continuing “September’s when we’re going to lock in and finish it”.
Exciting stuff indeed. The next few months are going to be interesting to say the least; with both Adele and Emeli Sande’s new records expected to drop by the end of the year, it’s certainly going to be an exciting Q4 for the British music industry!
