In preparation for the impending release of his new EP Mabel, British DJ/producer Lil Silva has shared the first of two new collaborations with BANKS, Don’t You Love.
The track, which opens with an impressive build-up, is clearly marked by BANKS’ sultry influences, melancholy and gothic, before encapsulating into an upbeat electronic powerhouse just under halfway through.
Coupled with the EP’s title-track, alongside previous cut First Mark, next week’s release of Mabel can’t come soon enough; Don’t You Love really is an impressive slice of electronic-R&B, and is an exciting continuation of the direction the ‘fairly-new’ sub-genre is starting to head.
