It’s been a bit quiet on the Janelle Monae-front of late, but finally she’s dropped a brand new video to remind us all that she’s still the queen of modern-day funk.
Sharing the visual for Electric Lady, the title-track of her brilliant sophomore studio album, the clip sees Monae go back-in-time to her days as a sorority member of the ‘Olectrified Betas’, funking things up at a house party with her cohorts in tow.
Electric Lady is one of our favourite joints off the new record, so we’re ecstatic to hear that it’s getting an official release. Catch the full video below and hit the iTunes link to download The Electric Lady (aka, the album) now; trust us, it’s definitely one for the collection!
