They’ve been around for just under a year now, but finally it could be the time for Years & Years to break cover. Fresh from the impending release of their brilliant new track Take Shelter, the London-based electro-soul/pop trio have now unveiled the B-side, an immerse cover of Blu Cantrell and Sean Paul’s huge 2003 hit Breathe.
Premiered earlier today by our friends over at Popjustice, Years & Years have ‘breathed’ (sorry….not sorry) new life into the monster track, scrapping the original sample of Dr Dre’s What’s The Difference, and instead doing what Years & Years do best, fusing some strong soulful vocals over simple electrified beats.
The track falls part of the Take Shelter EP, set to drop on 18th August. Stream below & hit the iTunes link for the preorder:
