Back in 1988, two young wannabe rappers joined forces under the guise of Soul Intent, recording a collection of tracks that were long-lost-and-forgotton. One of those kids went under the name of Chaos Kid…. the other? A 16 year-old named Marshall Mathers; the Detroit-born youngster who later became known as a fairly big deal as Eminem.
Well now, one of Soul Intent’s early tracks has surfaced online, the aptly-titled Pooh Butt Day. Funny title aside, the track, which falls part of the Unknown Tapes, is an unmastered track which already seems to show strength in both Eminem and Chaos’ rapping styles… particularly production which is instantly recognisable as Mr Mathers.
The track has actually been online from back since 2011, however has only recently been picked up by the world’s press.
