British electronic/house duo Gorgon City have unveiled their new single Unmissable.
Premiered moments ago by Huw Stephens (sitting in for Zane Lowe on Radio 1), Unmissable features the soulful vocals by 19 year-old newcomer Zak Abel, whose previous collaboration with Wookie on Higher garnered strong attention from blogs around the country.
Unmissable continues Gorgon City’s resurgence of 90s smooth house grooves, bringing in some wonderful piano chords at the intro, whilst Abel’s voice follows the enchantment left off by Laura Welsh on Gorgon’s previous release Here For You, whilst the chorus adds subtle elements of deep-house into the catchy production.
Unmissable, written in collaboration with Jimmy Napes (Clean Bandit, Disclosure, Sam Smith), is set for release this autumn and will feature on Gorgon City’s anticipated debut album Sirens, expected to drop on 6th October. Stream Unmissable in its entirety below:
