Regular Stagedoor FM readers (alongside Radio 1 listeners) may recall a ‘secret’ track that Annie Mac played on her Friday night show several months back. At the time, all we knew was that the track was known as No Price; the same story for Mac too – she was sent the song without any information regarding the artist, producer or creator. The only clue at the time was that Chromeo ‘may’ have had something to do with it.
Well, now, here it is in its full glory. Still titled No Price, the song is the result of Slam Dunk’d, the modern-day project by iconic 80s producer Arthur Baker, and featuring Dave 1 (of Chromeo-fame) alongside Al-P of MSTRKRFT, and it’s as amazing in its high-quality guise as when we all laid ears on it all those months back.
More-interestingly, the track is over 30 years old, recorded and written in the late 1970s, back then titled Can’t Put No Price On Love, however due to label issues, the song never surfaced. Thank god it finally has! Hit below to listen to No Price straight away; it’s a disco-funk work of wonder!!
