US producer CRNKN has unveiled brand new track Still, fusing some interesting progressive house beats onto future bass/garage, (not far removed from Ants’ incredible Edit from way-back-when).
Featuring a heavy sample of Jhene Aiko’s early-2014 underground smash The Worst, Still, shared earlier today via Songkick (and available as a free download), shows how far the US are taking onboard genre-evolutions from the UK, with more than a hint of Disclosure around CRNKN’s attempt…. and that’s no bad thing. Still is a wondrous slice of deep house that wouldn’t have gone amiss from a remix package of The Worst. Hindsight’s a wonderful thing, right?
