Following a career-rejuvinating eighteen months (give-or-take), Nile Rodgers has shared his first solo track in almost a decade, in the funky Do What You Wanna Do.
The track, which is instantly-recongisable as ‘pure Nile’, hears Rodgers open with his signature guitar riffs, moving into a 70’s-disco-inspired baseline. It’s disco at its finest, it’s funk at its purest… More of this please, world!
Do What You Wanna Do was written last year by Rodgers during his visit to Ibiza’s International Music Summit (IMS); remixes have been shared from the likes of MK, Chocolate Puma, Moon Boots, Grades, Silversix and Rob Da Bank.
