Following confirmation of Spice Girl Mel B’s appointment as the fourth judge on the upcoming season of The X Factor UK, comes the news that Caroline Flack, presenter of spin-off show The Xtra Factor will not be returning to the new series, scheduled to kick off this autumn.
According to heavy online rumours, Flack’s departure, after three years of presenting the hit ITV2 show, will see 1Xtra DJ Sarah-Jane Crawford take to the helm, bringing in a hopeful boost to flagging ratings. It’s unconfirmed at this stage whether Matt Richardson will return as co-presenter to sit beside Crawford.
