Kelis has premiered her brand new single, Friday Fish Fry, the latest track to be taken from her latest studio album, FOOD.
The song, which takes cues from 1960s soul, all the way to to 80s funk, is one of the stand-outs from FOOD, which sees an overall throwback to the ‘glory’ days of big-band soulful sounds.
Stream Friday Fish Fry below; the track is set for release on 14th July as part of the Friday Fish Fry EP, which includes remixes by Maribou State and Visionist. To put it simply, Friday Fish Fry, alongside the rest of the FOOD project is definitely one of the collection! Brits will have the opportunity to see Kelis live this summer at her headline slot during Somerset House’s Summer Series events (in July), as well as in a couple of weeks as she takes to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury.
