Metallica’s Lars Ulrich responds to Glastonbury ‘Ban Metallica’ petition

Metallica’s Lars Ulrich has spoken to Metal Hammer, responding to the recent cries of negative press regarding the band’s upcoming headline slot at this month’s Glastonbury Festival.

Following a recent Facebook boycott after news spread of James Hetfield’s appointment to narrate The History Channel’s forthcoming series on bear hunting, alongside disappointment from the likes of Mogwai and the Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner, Ulrich responded with “Bring it on”.

In the video (below), Ulrich confirms that the band are “fairly thick-skinned,” brushing off the negative press as Glastonbury’s first heavy-metal headliner in the festival’s 44-year history.
