Following last week’s final announcement regarding Apple’s $3bn takeover of headphone-maker Beats, the tech company’s SVP Eddy Cue joined Beats co-founder Jimmy Iovine for an interview with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher, discussing the partnership and what’s next on the horizon, as part of a the Re:Code conference.
The full one-hour interview sees Cue speak about the attraction of Beats (namely the products, their new Beats Music subscription service, and also the talent within the manufacturer), whilst also explaining the opportunities for the future as a direct impact of the deal, the biggest in Apple’s history. Cue also confirmed that the future product-line he’s seen from Apple are the best in 25 years (an exciting proposition for today’s Apple Worldwide Developer Conference in the US).
Watch the full video below; whether you’re into tech, and/or music, Apple’s acquisition of Beats has the potential to drive more value to the consumer (and obviously, from Apple’s POV, shift more hardware).
