Following the unveiling of Let Me Down Gently earlier this month, Elly Jackson (aka La Roux) has premiered Uptight Downtown, the first official cut from her upcoming studio record, Trouble In Paradise (Let Me Down Gentley was shared as a ‘promotional’ track).
Premiered moments ago on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, Uptight Downtown was touted with Lowe’s Hottest Record moniker. Jackson recently confirmed that she is no-longer in contact with her ex-writing partner Ben Langmaid (originally whom made up the other-half of La Roux).
Uptight Downtown is due for release on 29th June, one week prior to when Trouble In Paradise hits shelves. Jackson is also set to take the album on tour later this year; full dates are below.
