M.I.A. has unveiled the official video for her new single, DoubleBubbleTrouble, the latest track taken from her latest infectious record, Matangi.
The video, produced by M.I.A. herself, sees the British / Sri-Lankan femcee take pride and place across London council estates, telling the story of youth drug and crime culture throughout the capital, whilst overlaying some fairly psychedelic visuals. It’s pretty crazy, but works! What’s instantly bizarre (and enchanting too…. possibly), is the light sample of Shampoo’s 90’s cut, Trouble!
Watch the full DoubleBubbleTrouble video below – with all the US influences surrounding the star, it’s comforting to note she still has London in her roots.
