Robin Thicke’s 2013 anthem Blurred Lines has earned the coveted title of being the UK’s most downloaded track of all time.

The song, which relaunched Robin Thicke’s career into a worldwide sensation also heralded the resurrection of Pharrell Williams who went on to achieve the strongest year in business with his Daft Punk collaboration Get Lucky, alongside his solo stormer Happy.

Blurred Lines earned the award today (21st April) when BBC Radio 1 counted down the official Top 100 Downloads.

To date, the track has been downloaded over 1.5m times in the UK in almost twelve months since its release.
