Watch: Ed Sheeran debuts brand new track, ‘Take it Back Now’

Ed Sheeran has unveiled a brand new song, Take It Back Now.

The Suffolk star, who is about to drum up the PR machine for his forthcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album, premiered the track last night (24th March) during his headline show for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

It’s yet to be confirmed as to whether Take It Back Now will be the first release from the new record, but on first play, we see great things from it. Think along the lines of You Need Me, I Don’t Need You – a harmonious chorus across some ridiculously-fast spoken-word verses, and you’re only halfway there.

Sheeran recently tweeted a mysterious date of 7/4/14, likely to be when the world will finally get to hear the output from his recent time in the studio – we can’t wait!
