An unreleased Emeli Sande song, called Takes, has surfaced online.
Takes is an early track (pre-Our Version Of Events), and according to The Daily Record, was recorded as a seven-inch single, with only 500 copies printed.
The newspaper continues saying that “[label] Starla Records specialises in soul, jazz and funk releases — often 45rpm vinyl singles distributed in small numbers around the world. Among the releases is a double A-side by The DT6 that included (Theme From) The Baden Persuader and on the flip-side Emeli, billed as Emeli Sandé & Marco with The DT6. Takes was recorded at Marco Rea’s Barne Studio in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire”.
