BBC Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw has raised over £115,000 for charity through a gruelling 12-hour bike ride in support of Sport Relief.
Joining Grimshaw over various half-hour slots were a mix of celebrities and Radio 1 & 1Xtra DJs, all of whom took to exercise bikes outside BBC’s Broadcasting House in London to help drive awareness of Sport Relief and their various good causes. We were onhand to lend our own support, with two bikes set up for the public to help add to Grimmers’ 1,000-mile attempt.
British girl group Little Mix have covered Cameo’s 80s classic Word Up as the official Sport Relief song; hit the iTunes link below to buy the song, with proceeds going to the charity, and head over to Sport Relief’s official website to find out more ways in which you can donate. Additionally, you can add to Nick Grimshaw’s total by texting CYCLE to 70011.
Well done Grimmers!
