Oasis to reissue enhanced version of ‘Definitely Maybe’ for 20th Anniversary

Following last night’s cryptic tweet regarding an impending announcement, Oasis have announced that their debut album Definitely Maybe is to be reissued to mark the iconic LP’s 20th anniversary.

Set for release on 19th May, the album will be re-released on a variety of formats – reissued standard CD, special edition 3CD-collectors edition, vinyl release and deluxe box set formats. Preorders are available here direct from Amazon UK (click here)

Definitely Maybe set a precedent upon its release in April 1994, and has been labelled as generating a resurgence in British guitar bands, and as such, became both a critical, and commercial success. The album spawned two Top 10 tracks, whilst frequently earning various accolades over the years with multiple credible outlets.

The re-release of Definitely Maybe will be the first in a series (titled ‘Chasing The Sun’), to get the special treatment, with Be Here Now and (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? expected to follow later this year.

Additionally, to coincide with this year’s Record Store Day (19th April), the band will also release a limited edition re-mastered replica of hit single Supersonic on 12″ heavyweight vinyl.

The group have also relaunched their official website oasisinet.com featuring rare material alongside new audio and videos.
