Radio 1 DJ Nihal has been filmed intercepting a rap battle after one of the MCs involved made a rape threat toward his female opponent.
The DJ, whose appointment was to judge the rap battle last Monday (9th February) for Jump Off TV, became enraged after the MC pronounced “after this, in the alley, you’re gonna get raped”.
Hearing jeers from an angry crowd (with many expressing their disgust and hope to cut the battle there and then), Nihal graced the stage to defend common sense and let rip against the rapper, who subsequently pleaded with the crowd “what’s wrong? It’s a battle”.
Nihal angrily opposed the MC, saying “what the f**k you fat idiot, didn’t you have a mum, didn’t you have a sister? Why are you so dumb, you misogynistic prick?”
His response was agreeable to the crowd who were all notably shocked at the initial outburst. Watch the full ‘battle’ below:
