When artists enter 1Xtra’s Live Lounge, it’s most likely that their Live Lounge Cover will be a rendition of a track from recent-times; not Childish Gambino though. The rapper/actor (real name Donald Glover), took to the station to unveil his cover of PM Dawn’s 1992 classic I’d Die Without You, giving it a brand new lease of life and bringing it right up to modern tastes.
As an artist who’s primarily known for his strong screenplays, alongside his rapping skills (cue recent release Because The Internet), it’s refreshingly endearing to hear this other string to the multi-talented star’s bow.
