During a Google+ Hangout earlier this evening, Nile Rodgers confirmed his intention to continue his annual stint at Bestival, by appearing at this year’s event.
The September festival, which so far has announced Outkast, Disclosure, Laura Mvula and London Grammar amongst the line-up, has been a staple for Rodgers and Chic, and during tonight’s web chat, Bestival organiser Ben Turner questioned Nile, saying “we’ve asked you again for this year, so hopefully you’ll say yes pretty soon”, to which Rodgers replied “oh go on then, I’ll say yes”.
This is good news for Bestival, who are on the cusp of introducing probably their strongest lineup so far.
Tickets for this year’s Bestival, whose theme has already been confirmed as ‘Desert Island Disco’, are on sale now direct from Ticketline.
