With internet rumours swirling around the ‘are they, aren’t they?’ when it comes to a new Outkast record, Big Boi, one half of the famed hip-hop duo, has confirmed that a new solo album is in the works.
During a recent interview with Revolt, the rapper announced that he’s been working with Killer Mike on new material “Anything can happen…. We’ve got a couple new jams we recorded in the studio recently, so look out for that new Big Boi solo record coming too. So, you know, we’re just staying working, man.”
Outkast are set to perform 40 festival dates this year, including Coachella and The Governers’ Ball. With more to be announced, we’re of course still rooting on ‘that’ Glastonbury announcement.
