Pharrell Williams is to play at next month’s BRIT Awards, organisers have confirmed.
The announcement, made moments ago on the BRIT Awards’ official Twitter account, means Pharrell will join the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Bruno Mars and Katy Perry, amongst others, as performers for the ceremony at London’s O2 Arena.
Speaking about his inclusion into the line-up, Williams said “I always look forward to seeing the artists that come together on the Brits stage…. I’m so humbled by this opportunity – performing at the awards will be surreal”
Pharrell is currently riding high with the international success of Happy, his contribution to the soundtrack to Despicable Me 2, which has taken the #1 spot in a host of major markets (including the UK).
