Mikky Ekko premiers solo version of Rihanna’s ‘Stay’

Mikky Ekko has lifted the lid on his solo version of Stay, the song he wrote, and recorded, and then subsequently gave to Rihanna for her seventh studio album Unapologetic.

The track, which was performed by the pair at last year’s Grammy Awards, also featured Ekko providing backing vocals on Rihanna’s version, and earned Rihanna a bask of accolades from the fans and critics alike.

Take a listen to Ekko’s original version below; as you’ll hear, Rihanna kept incredibly close to Ekko’s initial cut – proof that a masterpiece should never be touched.
