Almost 20 years ago, a genre of music started to emerge, one that eventually defined the sound of a unique spin on house and electro. UK Garage, or ‘UKG’ as it was often called by its religious following (particularly in London), characterised the youth generation, and was as important and synonymous to British soul, hip-hop and R&B today as 60’s rock and roll was for indie.
For those followers of UK Garage, even today, spinning a UKG track is often met by warm memories; here, we are looking to YOU, our beloved readers, to help us drill down some of the biggest UK Garage songs in a bid find the Top 50 Greatest UK Garage Tracks of All Time.
