According to online reports from the ‘usually-accurate’ LA Times, Beyonce and Madonna are set to perform at this year’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, adding to the already-confirmed line-up which includes Kendrick Lamar, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and more.
If confirmed, the ceremony will be Beyonce’s first official [non-self tour] performance of material from her recently-released self-titled new album.
Adding fuel to the rumour-mill, Grammys show producer Ken Ehrlich said “Let’s put it this way…We have a really great history that goes back to the early days of Destiny’s Child…. She’s incredible. She is so into what it is that she does and making sure that everybody who sees her walks away saying ‘Wow’”.
A source close to the show has also seemingly confirmed that Madonna will take to the stage and lend guest vocals during a performance from one of the night’s nominees.
More as we hear it. The Grammy Awards are set to take place on 26th January.
**UPDATE** Beyonce has been confirmed to appear at this month’s award ceremony, in a new promotional video from broadcaster CBS. The video also confirms performances from Jay Z, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Hunter Hayes and more.
