Tonight’s unveiling of the nominations for next month’s BRIT Awards proved that the British music scene really is a force to reckon with. With a mammoth four nominations for Bastille and Disclosure, and everyone’s favourite sweetheart Ellie Goulding walking away with two nominations under the Best Single category, the ceremony helped to show the global talent that Blighty exports.

Tonight’s ceremony also led to some outstanding performances, no less than the world’s first live showing of Critics Choice winner Sam Smith’s first live showing of forthcoming single Money On My Mind.
