The nominees for the 2014 BRIT Awards have been announced by the BRITs Committee.
Sam Smith, Ella Eyre and Chloe Howl are the three finalist for the award, with the winner set to be confirmed next week.
The event, usually shrouded in secrecy until nearer the time, has seen various announcements over the past week, namely the official date of transmission (19th February 2014), the new BRIT Award (designed by Philip Treacy), as well as confirmation that both Katy Perry and Arctic Monkeys will be performing at the ceremony.
