The creators of US hit TV show Family Guy have killed off lead-character Brian Griffin, in a move that has surprised viewers.
Earlier in the week, the creators of the cartoon series teased that a main character would be killed off on Sunday’s episode Life of Brian, however it was not expected to be a Griffin family member.
Brian, voiced by co-creator Seth MacFarlane, was killed by a speeding car in the episode, and was quickly replaced by a new dog, Vinnie (voiced by The Sopranos’ Tony Sirico).
