Irish boyband (now manband) Boyzone have reformed (minus of course Stephen Gately) for new album BZ20.
Speaking with Digital Spy, member Shane Lynch said of the new material “We definitely sound very different compared to previous albums, just for the fact we’ve lost one of our vocalists, so dynamically it has to change anyway….. As far as musical direction is concerned, I think we’re allowed to be a little less pop…..Although we still are pop, we are now knocking on for 40 so we can throw in there some slightly more traditional folky stuff. It’s a nice push forward.”
The album, commemorating the group’s 20-year career, will also be supported by a UK arena tour, starting from the end of November. Click here for ticket information from Ticketmaster UK, and hit the play button below to listen to BZ20 one week prior to release.
