New music: Lorde – ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’

2013 New Zealand phenomenon Lorde has premiered her Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack inclusion, Everybody Wants To Rule The World.

The track, a reworking of Tears for Fears’ 1985 hit of the same name, sees the singer put her alternative gothic spin on the otherwise upbeat audio. Creepy stuff!

Lorde’s version of Everybody Wants To Rule The World adds to the already-impressive songs we’ve heard so far off the new Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, which also features the likes of Coldplay, Sia, Christina Aguilera, The Weeknd and many more.

Hit the iTunes link below to preorder the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, due out next Monday, and take a listen to Lorde’s haunting rendition of Everybody Wants To Rule The World underneath.
