British recording artist James Blake has been awarded with the coveted 2013 Mercury Music Prize for his acclaimed album Overgrown.
Speaking to radio host Nick Grimshaw straight after accepting the award, Blake informed that he was feeling “emotional, completely overwhelmed” with being the shock recipient, with Grimshaw congratulating him as a “worthy winner”
Judge Lianne La Havas said she was “very proud of James; he’s a very deserved winner”
