Neneh Cherry announces new album, produced by Four Tet

Swedish singer-songwriter Neneh Cherry has announced her return to music, with a new album set for a February 2014 release.

The recording, Cherry’s first solo material in over 16 years, has been produced by Four Tet, and also features a guest appearance from another big Swedish pop export, Robyn.

Of the new material , Cheery said “It was a liberating experience, not endlessly trying to fiddle with the music, re-recording hundreds of times. These days it’s easy to create any effect or sound on a computer, it is much harder to get the rawness I think we’ve achieved,”
