YouTube have announced the YouTube Music Awards, the site’s first-ever music award show.
Streamed live from New York on November 3rd, the awards ceremony, sponsored by rising car manufacturer Kia, will feature performances from Lady Gaga, Eminem and Arcade Fire, along with self-made YouTube stars such as Cadenza.
The ceremony will also include live acts in major cities, including Seoul, Rio, Moscow and of course London, paying homage to the site’s global presence.
Of the ceremony, YouTube’s parent company Google said “….there will be a whole lot more music to enjoy on YouTube around the Music Awards. In the days leading up to the November 3 event, nominees will share official music videos, covers, parodies, concerts, interviews and fan videos on YouTube–so you can stay in the loop, find your faves and discover new music you didn’t even know you loved”.
