Fans at Passenger’s Nashville Club gig were treated to a surprise last night, when Ed Sheeran walked onstage to perform the pair’s infamous cover of Blackstreet’s No Diggity. The duo switched up the performance mid-track with entwining Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ hit Thrift Shop.
Speaking to Rolling Stone after the gig, Passenger (real name Mike Rosenberg) said “[This] is what I got into music for…. collaborations are just one of the fucking most exciting parts of what we do.” He continued saying “Tonight was one of the best sing-alongs I’ve ever heard – so in tune!… Usually it’s like a drunken shout, and tonight it was pitch-perfect.”
