Michael Eavis, founder of the legendary Glastonbury Festival, has confirmed that the headline acts for next year’s event have already been booked.
Speaking to NME at last night’s AIM Awards, Eavis said “Next year’s headliners are more or less in place. They’re three bands who haven’t played Glastonbury, and that’s important.”
The godfather of the festival continued “There aren’t many bands left who haven’t played the festival, and before we run out I’d like to persuade the ones on my wish list to come down. I think I’ve managed that with these three.”
Exciting stuff then! Tickets for 2014’s Glastonbury go on sale early next month to registered users. Head over to the official site to register if you’re yet to do so, and be quick!
