Kid Cudi unleashes album snippets from new LP ‘Indicud’; announces departure from G.O.O.D. Music

Two pieces of big Kid Cudi news for you folks today.

First and foremost, the US rapper has announced his departure from former label G.O.O.D. Music. In an interview with US radio station Power 106 yesterday, the star shocked fans announcing his step away from Kanye West’s label, by saying “I’m no longer on G.O.O.D. Music, and this is something that no one knows really.”

Unlike other label changes however, there seems to be no bad blood between Cudi and West – the star continues “Me and Kanye were talking on the phone the other day. These have been things I wanted to talk to him about, about me wanting to start my own direction…. He got it because he’s trying to start his new path and trying new things as an artist. He was just, like, ‘Man, I feel you. It’s cool.”

His departure from the label will allow him to focus on his own imprint, Wicked Awesome Records, as well as his own new band [which he also announced] 2 Be Continuum. Listen to the Power 106 interview in full below:

In more exciting news however, Cudi also unleashed an 8-minute long preview of his forthcoming new album ‘Indicud’. The album is expected to drop on April 23rd globally and includes duets with powerhouses A$AP Rocky and Kendrick Lamar. Take a listen below and let us know your thoughts:
