Organisers of 2013’s Glastonbury Festival have announced the 8 finalists to their Emerging Talent Competition.
The competition, which was announced in January, will give new, unsigned artists from the UK and Ireland the chance to compete for a main stage slot at this year’s Glastonbury. Acts from any musical genre were applicable to enter, and follow in the footsteps of previous ETC entrants, who include Stornoway, Scouting For Girls, We Have Band, the Golden Silvers, the Subways and the winners of the last contest, in 2011, Treetop Flyers.
The 8 finalists for 2013 have been announced as A Band Called Wanda, Black Balloons, Bridie Jackson & Arbour, The Dancers, Isaiah Dreads, Lillian Todd Jones, Port Isla and Rhys Lloyd Morgan.
