R&B singer Miguel has released the video for new single ‘Candles In The Sun’. The Grammy-nominated artist has taken a change in direction off his normal video stance by focusing more on world issues; a theme which [thankfully] seems to be the case for many urban artists at the moment. The black-and-white-filmed video focuses on key issues normally shied away from in popular culture – war, drugs, racism, crime, poverty – the whole shebang.
When asked about the video [and track], the singer replied:
It’s so easy to ignore what’s right in front of us sometimes. I wanted to create a song and visual that addressed my everyday concerns of life as I know it in the world that we live in.
