Georgia Anne Muldrow releases new track ‘Akosua’

American soul/funk singer Georgia Anne Muldrow has just released new funky track ‘Akosua’. Daughter of legendary jazz singer Ronald Muldrow, the singer/producer has treated her fans to a free download; a double A-side with ‘In My Heart’. Both tracks form a part of the Mello Music Group 7″ Series, with Muldrow producing, writing and singing on both.

Label Mello Music Group describes the tracks as:

A pair of strong tracks from one of the most restless creative spirits of the post millennium funky soul underground – and possibly the best single yet in the Mello Music Group series of limited 7-inches! “Akosua” and “In My Heart” both find Georgia at her recent best – with a bit of a 70s cinematic soul drive to the former and a more mellow and atmospheric vibe on the latter – and both are inventive and and unique, but quite accessible at the same time. A mix of beauty and soulful grit from one of our favorite voices and producers of the era. (Limited edition of just 300 copies!).

Though Akosua is available for free, Muldrow clearly knows her market are a collectable bunch, with the tracks available as limited-edition 45’s.
