Rising Scottish electropop trio Chvrches took to Billboard’s Women In Music luncheon yesterday, covering Janelle Monae’s hit Tightrope.
The track, which initially pinned Monae onto the world music map back in 2010, was transformed from an über-funkified R&B jam to Chvrches’ signature sound. A great cover, and a nerve-wracking experience for the Glaswegian band who played the rendition to an audience which included Monae herself.
