Mary J Blige, Rizzle Kicks, Jessie J and Olly Murs for Royal Variety Show

Grammy Award winner Mary J. Blige and BAFTA Award winner Dame Edna Everage are to take to the stage at this year’s Royal Variety Performance 2013, being held at the London Palladium.

Also taking part for the evening of music, theatre, comedy and dance will be an exclusive performance by Gary Barlow, along with Jessie J, Rizzle Kicks, Olly Murs, comedian Jimmy Carr and jazz singer Caro Emerald

There will also be performances from Britain’s Got Talent winners, Attraction along with the cast of the hit West End musical Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, as well as rising UK star, John Newman, whose summer hit single Love Me Again topped the charts 20 countries.

Speaking of her performance, Jessie J said “I have watched the Royal Variety Show since I was a little girl and always dreamt of being on it. It will be a real special moment for me. I can’t wait”‘

The star studded spectacular, hosted by award winning comedian and actor John Bishop, takes place on Monday 25th November and will be screened on ITV in December.

Gabrielle unveils ‘Dreams’ acoustic video

British soul diva Gabrielle has premiered an acoustic video of her 90’s classic Dreams.

The track, which pinned the star on the music-world map upon its 1993 release was recently re-recorded by Gabrielle along with UK producer Naughty Boy for the release of the star’s forthcoming new Best Of album 20 Years of Dreaming.

DJ Tedsmooth has remixed Robin Thicke’s infamous Blurred Lines, to resounding effect.

Turning the track on its head, whilst enlisting rapper Busta Rhymes, Tedsmooth’s remix adds a boogie-filled vibe to the anthem, throwing in some 70s disco horns. Wonderful!

Bastille, Dizzee Rascal, Ellie Goulding, Robbie Williams and more took to ‘Children In Need Rocks’ last night, at a star-studded concert to raise money for the BBC charity.

The concert, the first of two, has been curated by organiser Gary Barlow, who also appeared on stage with Abba star Agnetha Faltskog during the show

Joining the line-up included Little Mix, Barry Manilow, Nicole Scherzinger and Kings of Leon at the event filmed at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
