Anchorman character Ron Burgundy has teamed up with 2013 sensation Robin Thicke for new ‘single’ Ride Like The Wind.
The track, a cover of East Side Beat’s remix of Christopher Cross’ track of the same name, is set to appear in the soundtrack for the new Anchorman movie, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, out next week.

It’s quite exciting when you hear new music, by a new group, particularly when they hail from your homeland.
Manchester-based Red Sky Noise have unveiled their new single Only You; OK, admittedly, it’s not that new (premiered late in the summer), however it’s new to us, as well as a majority of you folk too.
Not sounding too far away from a Rudimental / Ella Eyre spin-off, Only You grabs you on the instance you hear vocalist Mica Millar 15-odd seconds in.
Set for release on 27th January, Only You is already being tipped by the nationals out there (BBC 1Xtra heralded it their ‘Introducing Single Of The Week’ back in November), and is sure to help the quartet make a dent with their interesting, yet radio-friendly sound.

US American Idol winner Jordin Sparks has premiered her festive single, This Is My Wish. The track, in partnership with Glade air freshener, is a collaboration between the singer and The Young People’s Chorus of New York City, and thanks to Glade, the song is available for a free download this month.

Australian teen popstar Cody Simpson has unveiled a new Acoustic Sessions EP. The tracks, sounding almost ‘John Mayer-esque’, are no surprise, considering a recent Idolator interview stood Mayer’s latest LP Paradise Valley as one of Simpson’s favourite albums of all time.

Mutya Keisha Siobhan have taken to NME to confirm that the trio (often shortened to ‘MKS’) are still signed to Polydor records.
The three-piece band, originally of Sugababes fame, told the music publication in a bit to quash rumours of the band being dropped after ‘debut’ single Flatline stalled outside the Top 40 in the Official UK Singles Chart.
Speaking to NME, Keisha Buchanan said, “we’re still with Polydor. 100%…. For us we weren’t expecting the single to chart. On the first day it went to 16, then we did one TV show with Alan Carr and it went to Number 10… If we’d done more TV and there had been more promotion around us then we definitely would have had a bigger single. But it did what we wanted it to do. On our Soundcloud we had 100,000 views on one hour. We sold out at the Scala in 60 seconds. For us, I mean I’m not gonna say chart position isn’t important, but we are about the album.”
Flatline was the girl-group’s first official release since reuniting in 2012, and their new material has been strongly anticipated by both the industry and fans alike. During the group’s live debut in London in August (and again last month on their UK tour), new material was unveiled, whilst Siobhan Donaghy recently told various publications that the second release “…. will be something we’ve held back, that no-one’s heard yet.”

2013 breakout electro-pop band CHVRCHES have unveiled plans for a full-length semi-global tour.
Starting this month, and spreading all the way from the UK, Japan, Australia, back to Europe and then North America, the Glaswegian trio will showcase their unique spin on syth-indie-electro-pop in support of their mammoth debut album The Bones Of What You Believe.
