Ed Sheeran announces 2018 UK stadium tour

Ed Sheeran had announced plans for a full-scale UK stadium tour, following his breathtaking headline set at Glastonbury over the weekend. 

Set to kick off on 24th May in Manchester, Sheeran will then hit the likes of Glasgow, Newcastle and Cardiff over the course of the month. He will also return to London’s Wembley Stadium for three shows on 15th/16th/17th June.

Now in its fourteenth year, South West Four returns to London’s Clapham Common later this summer enlisting one heck of a stellar line-up. What’s more, we’ve hooked up with organisers to give away a pair of tickets for the event’s second day, Sunday 27th August.

Now known as a Bank Holiday weekend ritual for electronic music enthusiasts the world-over, 2017’s SW4 will see the two-dayer once again showcase some of electronica’s greatest DJs and artists all in the stunning surroundings of the Clapham parkland. Headlined by Pendulum (Saturday) and Deadmau5 (Sunday), SW4 will also see an action-packed guestlist, including the likes of Bakermat, Sub Focus, Sigma, Eric Prydz, Julio Bashmore, Dusky, Chris Lorenzo, Loco Dice, Redlight, Tchami and more.

HAIM made their triumphant return to Glastonbury over the weekend, bringing all the hits plus cuts from their new album Something To Tell You to Worthy Farm’s Other Stage on Sunday.

Bestival takes itself to Asia, announcing Bestival Bali 2017

After its success in Canada last year (alongside of course its continued place nestled within the UK’s own festival calendar), Bestival organisers have revealed the latest string to their bow, as they expand to Asia for the first time since the brand was conceived over a decade back.

Set to hit the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park later this year, Bestival Bali will run for two days (30th September – 1st October), and play host to some of the biggest international acts alongside renowned (and emerging) local talents. In true Bestival style, you can also expect a shedload of vibrancy and mayhem to go with the fun too.

Watch Emily Eavis discuss Corbyn, the fallow year and the future of Glastonbury

Emily Eavis has spoken about the future of Glastonbury ahead of the festival’s forthcoming ‘fallow year’ break.

Sitting down with NME over the weekend, the Glastonbury curator spoke of the success of Saturday’s Pyramid Stage appearance by Jeremy Corbyn, whilst also giving teases about the upcoming break and beyond.

During the interview, Emily also confirmed that “a couple of bands” have already been booked for Glastonbury’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 2020, before informing that three different sites have been shortlisted for 2021’s new Variety Bazaar.

Eavis then closed by congratulating one of the most successful acts of the weekend, saying “Stormzy will have to headline one day – he was phenomenal last night”.

Nintendo announces SNES Classic Edition

Less than a year on since the reveal of the NES Classic, Nintendo have bowed to fanbase hysteria and have confirmed the release of a mini edition of their Super Nintendo.

Dubbed the SNES Classic and out in September, the console was announced moments ago on Nintendo of America’s official Twitter, and will come with 21 games pre-built into the system, alongside the shelved Star Fox 2.

A UK release date is yet to be confirmed, but US fans will be able to get their hands on the SNES Classic for $80 on pre-order, and will include other major titles alongside Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, F-Zero, Super Mario Kart and more.
